Newfoundlander Dianne Froude is one crafty lady. From Old Perlican, and currently living in St John's, Dianne has started this craft business.

I started doing crafts in the late 70's, but until this year, painting was just a hobby. Now that I am unable to go out to work, "Crafty Newfoundlanders" was born.

It was an idea born of a need to let EVERYONE on the world wide web know what types of crafts are available in Newfoundland. Though very small (at the moment), and operating from my home, the hope is that it will grow and we can get more crafters online with us.

Craft fairs and flea markets are expensive and only reach very limited potential customers.

Other than Newfoundland tablecloths and Quilts, many of Dianne's crafts are custom ordered, and that is what she is trying to build on personally. Even the tablecloths can be personalized.

The Newfoundland tablecloths and quilts are designed with things from our past to give Newfoundlanders "UpAlong" a touch of home. They are wash-able, they'll last for years, and the brightness never fades.

At present, this is a small business, however, the hope is that it will grow and ALL Newfoundlanders "UpAlong" will get a touch of home.
